Hi Anon! I’m glad you like my transstuck writing enough that you’d like to see more of it.
I’ve actually thought about exploring the idea of a trans* Kanaya a bit. I think there’s some interesting stuff there - for example, it seems like trolls in general have less sexual dimorphism than humans. So what would body dysphoria look like for Kanaya?
Also, Kanaya’s a jade blood, a very strongly gendered implication in troll society. What’s up with that? How would that factor into what societal expectations she might face because of that?
Note that I do believe there can and should be trans* stories for trolls - any culture in which a character can say “Hey asshole, stop playing games for girls” is probably in dire need of stories about gender and gender expectations. I just think it’s different, and that’s fascinating.
Now here’s the part where I disappoint you: I’ve got a lot of stuff in my writing queue already! Right now I am working on the following things in this order:
1) An entry for Ladystuck Blind
2) The next act of Long Delirious, Burning Blue
3) A trans* story about Puella Magi Madoka Magica
So I don’t plan on writing a Kanaya story any time soon. But it is something I’ve considered and may revisit in the future.
In the meantime, I encourage you to write your own! The nice thing about fanfic is that you don’t have to wait for someone else to write something. If you have some ideas about Kanaya, go for it.
Rosemary are basically like cats.
Here, let me explain. People go around thinking that they’re all flawless and elegant and graceful, and then they fall off the couch sideways and faceplant very gracefully on the floor or make a profoundly weird face while concentrating on something or elegantly hack up a hairball (..metaphorically) and really they’re kind of neurotic and silly and ridiculous.
And honestly I think that’s the charming thing about them.

Regardless, this is great. Clothes are decidedly optional when one is that…well-endowed with fashion.
What are the first things that come to mind when you see the piece above by Blinky Palermo, Untitled (1970)? What about the color: does the hue bring up any particular associations?
On Wednesday, January 9, Museum Educator Marian Cohen prompted visitors to start thinking about the most basic elements of this work, such as color, and sparked exploration of this seemingly minimal artwork as part of a Roving Gallery Conversation. By having in-depth conversations about this work, Marian and the visitors considered the many nuances and details that are present in it. For example, can you tell that the work is made out of three colors of fabric, sewn together to create the single plane?
Taking time to look closely at works such as this one can be extremely rewarding, and our Roving Conversations are great opportunities to do so! Look for us in the galleries the next time you visit: you never know where our Roving educators will appear next.

So, I posted this kind of jokingly as part of my RP blog, but I wanted to point out just how much I actually do like this art piece.
Not for serious contemplative reasons, though. No, I like it because that’s basically the exact same palette I always seem to end up putting together for Kanaya, when I bother with custom palettes. Same layout and everything.
It just looks so happily familiar to me.
Good times, good times.

Kanaya, if you’re not careful, they’re gonna tear that skirt to shreds.

Actual quote from an actual description of an actual movie Netflix just suggested to me:
“Every night, Eri attempts to fell a deadly villain known as “Chainsaw Man.”“
Eri no
She’s wilier than you think

Also if you’re in the right region and have Netflix you too can enjoy the amazement that is Negative Happy Chain Saw Edge
Yes that is the actual translated title
No I’m not going to watch it
Not without first arranging some sort of Homestuck viewing party
I left the typos in for comedic value:

Kanaya weobbles uncertainly, her balance havingg exucsed itself and left the room already.
“Rose, Rose…” she hiccups, and when she hiccups she emits a little bright flicker of light. The otehr erestaurant patrons briefly glance over at your table. Rose waves her camera phone at them, hoping they will assume it was merely some impolite flash photography. “Rose I would like to sculpt your verdant booty into my garden.”
Rose sighs and rests her head in her hands. “Kanaya, new rule: no snacking on me when I’ve had booze.”
“But you’re practically soberrth”
“Yes, but I think you’re a lightweight.”
